When I joined Facebook in 2009, it was a social
media site for young adults with little business interaction. I never filled
out my "likes” section or was friends with a company, until very recently.
It seemed that many companies were beginning to use incentives to draw people
to like their companies. Tiny Prints was one of the first (and my most liked)
companies I liked because of this. While on a blog I regularly read, the author
mentioned a free customized valentine’s card if you liked this site called Tiny
Prints.
Hey, free anything sounds good; so I liked the page,
acquired my code, and went over to Tiny Prints. After going through the process
to create a card, I was very satisfied. I really liked the site and the final
product. If was not for the Facebook like and subsequent coupon, I would never
have trafficked the Tiny Prints site in the first place. Now, I use Tiny Prints
for almost even occasion.
I have liked about ten businesses on Facebook but regularly
ignore the status updates I get from them sine they mostly read like an advertisement
and not an update. Tiny Print is quite different, I am intrigued. For example,
on March 30th, Tiny Prints posted this great status update:
