What would really help SIP - wine bar and restaurant be even more successful in their industry?

With the previous post as assessment for SIP social media channels, this post will help start the discussion about recommendations for better performance on those channels. Talking about better performance, there is a zillion of way to define "better". It's important for SIP management team to get that clear. Since I do not personally have access to those original ideas, I will have to make hypothesis in order to generate related recommendations.

     Hypothesis:

  • Goals:
    • Increase customers and prospects interaction through Facebook and Twitter.
    • Attract more loyal customers to sign up for Club 1084 and VIP.
    • Collect feedback.
    • Gain influence, trust, and credit in the industry through word-of-mouth, or any review Web sites: Yelp.com.
  • Benefits:
    • Acquire sustainable customer loyalty.
    • Healthy rises in Sales over time.
    • Secured long term growth.

Based on the hypothesis above, here is a set of recommendations that is critical to achieve those goals and benefits:
  • "Content is still king, but context is queen. And the queen, after all, is the most powerful piece on the chessboard." What makes an influencer -  Vocus and Brian Solis.
    • Facebook: Postings should consist of:
      • Relevant articles about food, restaurants, and wine.
      • Sharing of recipes, meal and wine combinations, etc. at SIP restaurants.
=> Try making SIP's Facebook page a go-to page for expert advises about food related topics.
      • Interactive polls about what the chef should serve on specific events or nights.
      • Interactive polls about what the chef should "share" with food-obsessed community.
      • Offers for Facebook community when they get off-line and visit the restaurant.
=> Try to get customers and prospects engaged in the business decisions. Try to make them feel special, and important, therefore, generate clusters for word-of-mouth and later customer loyalty.
      • Interactive polls about how SIP is doing.
      • Or simply just posting asks for feedback.
    • Twitter: tweets should consist of:
      • Messages to check in with followers about their opinions on how SIP is doing.
      • Fast, quick, short term offers for rapid sales in low business hours.
      • Sharing same contents and context as posted on Facebook.
This set of recommendations will be such an incomplete one for a while, since it is based on social media channels, and these channels change everyday. Hopefully, there will be a greater way to utilize these channels created everyday.

Anyway, even though the set is incomplete, as I stated at the beginning of the post, it will still be a good start for discussion which hopefully leads to actions.

Thank you for following my posts!
Hope you enjoy them!

- Hien
