FareStart Internet Marketing Strategy Analysis

     FareStart is a non profit organization. For non profit organization, the primary goal is not profit.Instead of making profit, the more importaant thing to do is to help the community. Therefore, the marketing strategy should lean toward getting public attention and call of action.

     Among all the social media FareStart uses, the content that get the most attention is about their graduate. In class, we learned that modern internet maketing is all about story tell. Each student learning at Farestart can be a story. Some of them are very touching, because they are people with disabilities or homeless.The most effective platform of story tell would be Youtube. However, FareStart's Youtube channel did not attract many viewers. The problem is the video introduced many students. It is very brief on each student. So there is not enough details to make the emotional connection with the viewers. In another word, the content is broad and boring.

    Although FareStart has their own Cafe, the jobs they can provide to graduates are limited. With the help of social networks, FareStart can utilize social media as a way to help graduate to find jobs. They currently partners with a number of restuarants, but it is still not enough for all graduate students. Seeking job opportunities on social network is a huge benefit for their graduate. On the one hand, Farestart can reach more business involved in this program; on the other hand, the those companies can build good reputations by doing the good things for the community.
