Ethical Issues on Privacy

There has been many controversy regarding Internet privacy over the past decade. There has been suggestions of laws preventing certain content to be online and there are countries like China who banned the Facebook. The article I read was about Internet privacy and third parties who have access to private content without the consent of the person. Also, there are major identifiable information on the websites that are encrypted, which can negatively affect a person's privacy and identity. The rise on stolen credit card numbers, fraud, and money-related issues are increasing on a daily basis.

Not only are financials at stake, there are IP address which allows a person to be tracked down to a physical address. Stalkers, hackers, and anonymous persons can find anyone as long as they have access to their IP address. There are many sources now-a-days to track some one's whereabouts and privacy. This is a major concern for friendly online users, however, we can find out where the bad people are as well. There are trade-offs to the Internet and privacy issues.

"While providing open platforms for discussions, the Internet is ironically becoming a stage where fake people can voice false opinions and foster fallacies." People are using the Internet more to find out about products, to compare products and purchase it. The consumer reviews are what ultimately sets the difference between two very similar products. It is important that users have privacy, but they must keep their guard up at all times and not assume everyone on the internet is there with good intentions.
